Designed to train professionals capable of managing, analysing and optimising databases within companies and organisations, the Attestation of Collegial Studies (ACS) in Database Analysis offers practical and theoretical training. The programme covers data management techniques, database analysis, modelling and optimisation, responding to the growing needs of the data management market.

The "Analyste de bases de données" study programme at Collège Universel aims to achieve several key objectives for students choosing this career path.

Here are the 5 main objectives:

    • 1Developing technical expertise:
        The programme aims to provide students with a solid foundation of technical knowledge in the field of database analysis. They acquire an in-depth understanding of fundamental concepts, query languages such as SQL, reporting tools, predictive modelling methods, and many other essential skills. This enables them to become specialists in the manipulation, analysis and management of data.
    • 2 Strengthening analytical skills:
        Another key objective of the programme is to develop students' analytical skills. They learn to interpret data, identify patterns and trends, extract valuable information and make informed decisions based on the results of analysis. This enables them to be competent analysts capable of solving complex problems.
    • 3 Encouraging collaboration and teamwork:
        The program focuses on developing collaboration and teamwork skills. Students take part in practical projects that put them in real-life teamwork situations. They learn to communicate effectively, share knowledge, coordinate efforts and achieve common goals. These skills are crucial in the workplace, where collaboration is often required to bring projects to fruition.
    • 4 Preparing for the professional environment:
        The program aims to familiarize students with the professional environment of the IT community. In accordance with the provisions of section 4 of the Regulation respecting the College Education Program concerning admission requirements, a person who has completed a course of study deemed sufficient by the college and who meets one of the following requirements:

Mathematics, Technico-science sequence or Natural Sciences sequence in Secondary 4 or Culture, Society and Technology sequence in Secondary 5.
